Garden Bounty

P1050407-Garden_webThis spring we were inspired by Louis, who gave us some tomato seedlings.  We decided that a small garden plot off of our back terrace would be a nice addition.   The long days and temperate climate has treated most of our garden really well.  We just harvested about two kilos of beautiful carrots and have been eating off of our nasturtiums, arugula an lettuce all summer long.
Sadly, I don't think it's quite warm enough in our garden for tomatoes.  They get a little wind swept and don't get sunlight until around 9:30.  Our carrot planting was a little ambitious too and probably crowded them out a bit too.  Though, after our very successful carrot harvest we found some little green tomatoes hiding under the leaves.  Hopefully they'll ripen up a bit.
We sowed some radishes in the clear spaces and will hopefully manage a harvest in a month or so.  I'm also hoping to get some shoulder-season broccoli in the ground, but I'm afraid I missed the boat on that one.
